Spring Layout~Whimsical Wednesday Challenge

Oh my gosh...it's been awhile...do you really think I'll remember how to even do this??  Okay, so I was inspired by the challenge at http://whimsicalwednesdays.blogspot.com/ to make a spring or Easter layout with a bug and or a critter.  So, I designed this double page 12x12 layout.  I was able to use some Basic Grey letters for Spring that I've had for years.  I used a combination of Close to My Heart and Coordinations papers, Disney's Happily Ever After and the Pooh and Friends cartridges for the clouds, butterfly, bird, and flower.  I inked everything with Jumbo Java ink.  I also used a varitey of Cuttlebug folders in my Sizzix Texture Boutique.  I decided to wait on the photo mats, as I always make my boys matchy-matchy for the annual Easter photo; I thought depending on how it turns out, I might try to print it larger and the mat size will depend on the pix.  Sorry for the bad photos.  We are way overdue for a new camera and are holding out for a model that's too expensive right now!!  :)  Ok, here goes my try at posting and linking the photos!  I hope you have a wonderful Spring!!

After I embossed the clouds, I sanded them down to reveal the color from behind in the Coordinations cardstock.

Again, not the best photo, but you can see the little dots on my cute birdie!  :)

Butterfly & flower--you can kind of see the sparkle on the butterfly from the paper as well as the texture.

Gingerbread 2 pg Layout~My Pink Stamper Challenge

I made this 2 page layout for a challenge posted today on the My Pink Stamper blog that I have been following.  This is my first challenge, my first time "blogging" and seriously the first time I am attempting to post anykind of picture without Bill's assistance.  We will see if it works!  The challenge today was to make something using blue, green, and brown.  We are invited to a friends house later today to make Gingerbread houses so I thought it would be cute to make a page in advance for all of the great photos!  The green and brown were obvious choices, as was the pattern paper of gingerbread.  There wasn't any blue in the pattern paper, so I simply used navy as an accent mat color.  I used the Winter Frolic Cricut Cartridge and stickles to add some bling.  Now I will just dress my boys in blue and brown so they match the cute page!  Does anyone else dress their kids to match their scrapbook pages?

My First Blog Post

This is a test to see if my highly skilled technological advancements of blogging are actually working!
